Summary:
1. Beans - We wanted to start with one that isn’t too scary if you’re new to the world of healthy eating. You can find a million and one awesome and easy recipes that can help you incorporate more beans into your daily meal plan.

2. Blueberries - See? This list isn’t so bad. Blueberries are delicious and they’re great for you, too! The stuff that gives these berries the wonderful blue almost purple color are also antioxidants, which can help your body fight off harmful damage to your cells and can reduce the risk of cancer.

3. Oatmeal - Oatmeal might not be your go to in the morning, but with the help of adding some blueberries and nuts, it can be a healthy and delicious way to start your day! Oatmeal is a great breakfast option because it’s full of fiber, which will keep you fuller for longer, so you won’t be tempted by those sugary snacks in the vending machine at work.

4. Eggs - We don’t mean eating a bunch of eggs every morning, but in moderate amounts eggs can be really healthy as they’re packed with healthy benefits. One egg contains choline which is great for your memory, 6 grams of protein, and lutein which is good for your eye health.

5. Oranges and Citrus Fruit
Citrus fruits like oranges and grapefruit are a fantastic source of fiber, when you eat the whole fruit. Fiber can help you digest food more slowly, keeping you full and letting your body absorb the proper nutrients.

Newly diagnosed. 6'2 , 213 pounds, 57 years old. So if have eliminated all types of bread and bread substitutes, pizza , chips. Everything. I had a good run for 57 years and now that's over. I have also.elimitared all.snacks of any kind. I have seen snacks you can have on different websites and I have no issue with never eating them, so that was relatively easy for me. The only thing I est since being diagnosed is grilled chicken and salad with viniger and oil. In order to deal with this condition I view eating as nothing more then medication. I do take vitamins to as well to supplement. I have been reading from different sites that normal food can be eaten in moderation, but the moderation is so small that for me it's more aggravating and not worth it. A lot of stuff that is recommended for substitution. In my opinion is horrific. I'm not someone who needs to substitute stuff as opposed to just not having that food item . Veirity in food is not an overwhelming factor for me. Im.confident going forward I will be fine with salad viniger and oil and grilled chicken every day. Also some of the meals these sites suggest , in my opinion, the juice isnt worth the squeeze. I have nothing but respect for people who view it differently then I do. For my own mental health this has been the only way I have been able to deal. The less options and planning I have to do is wsy more beneficial to me then thinking about meals and numbers.

I was surprised to find that I am already eating most of the foods listed. It answers why my BP has been lower. My doctor has stopped medication she had me on for BP and diabetes. I eat berries, particularly blue berries. The days I don't have berries are the days I eat eggs. I use these beans and berries and oatmeal and eggs because they are basics of good health.

Many diabetic are given cholesterol meds automatically. Pineapple is usually not to be eatin when on them. Oatmeal is interesting. Some dietary recommendations think it’s great and others say it’s a carb that needs to be really cut down.

I am dealing with T2D and I incorporate all these foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I also have a great medical team, take my meds, exercise and drink lots of water. Sure I had lost 50 lbs before the pandemic and gained it all back plus during Quarantine, but now I'm on the journey of not only releasing the weight but getting my whole health back.
